Due to the presence of symptoms that are also identified with a vast number of health conditions, it is quite hard to immediately diagnose mesothelioma in a person. Most of the time, this condition is only suspected when there is a known legacy of asbestos use is a person’s life.
A person suffering from mesothelioma may experience shortness of breath and even chest pains. Other symptoms may include anemia, cough, and fever. If the condition becomes severe, the symptoms also intensify followed by many more symptoms such as difficulty in swallowing, pain in the abdominal area, loss of weight, fatigue, and even difficulty or problems in the bowel functions. There are also cases that the patient shows signs of this condition through the yellowing of the eyes and skin. Although these symptoms are present, it doesn’t mean that a patient is sure to be suffering from mesothelioma. There are many tests doctors may do to a patient suspected of mesothelioma. X-rays, physical examination, as well as lung function tests are usually performed.
Just like any other type of cancer, mesothelioma should not be taken lightly. Early detection is good for the people who already have the condition, yet prevention of the said cancer from occurring in the first place is always the best people can do.

But between those two, the Serpentine family is the one that is frequently found on commercial, consumer and more especially industrial products. But this positive note is easily reversed by acquiring Mesothelioma Cancer due to significant exposure to it. And apparently, not most people are aware that such kind of disease exist and even more unaware that they may already be exposed to it.
Mesothelioma is a type pf cancer that forms due to exposure to asbestos. Malignant cells grow in the mesothelium which is the lining that covers and protects the body’s internal organs. The most common areas affected by it are the lungs, abdominal cavity and the heart. People who are not just exposed to it but rather inhale asbestos frequently are the ones that are most likely to have this cancer. Such professions are those acquainted with the construction industry such as carpenters and painters.
Detecting Mesothelioma can be very difficult because symptoms usually surface 10 or 40 years later. But diagnosing it requires chest X-ray and CT scan then later on verifying it through biopsy. The most common symptoms for it is shortness of breath as caused by pleural effusion. Treatments available for it are the normal cancer procedures such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
