Safety Signs
The beach is a great spot to play, exercise or relax but there can be times when it can also be a dangerous place if some common sense rules are ignored. Safety signs could have been prevented most mishaps that have occurred at the beach had the proper protection protocols been communicated in a clear and timely manner. This can easily be done through the erection of understandable and highly visible notices at the seaside. These can play an important role in the well being of any community with a beach by warning visitors about the conditions of the surf as well as about any unfriendly creatures that may be lurking unseen below the surface, like jellyfish, sharks or sea lice.
A number of safety signs warning of the dangers should be posted anywhere there may be undertow or rip tides and is normal practice for responsible municipalities. Signs should also describe where on the beach the nearest emergency equipment is stored with instructions on how to use it. There is also a need for safety signs explaining where toxic waste or sewage may be draining into the sea if it is near a location where swimmers might be thinking of entering the water. People can be reminded by brightly coloured safety signs to be careful and stay alert even while relaxing and enjoying themselves. It is never a good idea to take beach safety for granted and the proper signs should always be installed in the appropriate places.
