Hearing and Hearing Loss

Hearing loss, deafness, and hearing impairment – these are the usual terms used for a person’s inability to hear and understand sound signals including speech. This condition has been addressed by the development of hearing aids, which increases the loudness of the sound as it enters the eardrum.
